4 January 2009- No fees increases!
We have decided not to increase our fees this year, considering the international credit crunch. in fact that means that our fees are still the same as in 2006!
30 March 2008 - 2nd China Visit
Julia Yang, our Marketing Director for the Far East, who is a Chinese-born Belgian, has been attending various trade fairs, Universities and Colleges, and met with some of our Chinese partners as part of our on-going expansion of EWA's Chinese activities and presence.

18 December 2007 - Visit to China
Our Principal addresses a group of Chinese wine professionals, visits one of the top Estates, and he gives a televised interview on Chinese TV, during a recent visit by EA’s delegation to the main winegrowing region of China. This visit was part of our China Project.
20 February 2006 - Belgian students: Training cheques
Following the granting of an ISO 9001 quality certificate we have applied to the Flemish government to be granted the status of an official provider of educational courses, which means that any person living or working in Belgium would, upon granting, be able to apply for Training Cheques, that means that your course will be subsidised for 50%! We will place a Notice on this News section as soon as it is finally approved
15 January 2006- Our e-Learning platform is operational !
As from today our students will use a dedicated platform (http://platform.europeanacademy.be) for the receipt of all their lessons and for the uploading of their assignments. Tutors can now grade assignments and the grade is immediately available to such student. Using Skype and Windows Messenger direct contact with the tutor is now possible.
They will interact with each other via class Forums or Chat rooms. They can also read new magazine articles, which are placed on to the platform. Interactivity will be extended soon with on-line quizzes, puzzles and video clips.
23 December 2005 - European Association of Distance Learning
Following almost a year of investigations we were informed today by the EADL (http://www.eadl.org/ ) that we now meet the strict requirements for membership !
The EADL is the European association of schools, institutions, and individuals working in correspondence and distance education. With members from over 15 European countries, the Association is a representative forum for the exchange of information and ideas on current practice and developments in the expanding field of distance learning.
Nearly all member states of the European Community are represented in the EADL. However, the EADL also has members in Norway, Russia, Switzerland, and Turkey. With 4,000 different courses, the members of the EADL work with more than one million students all over Europe.

Today EA became a member of the European Distance and e-Learning Network (EDEN) which functions as a pan-European information network and meeting for the Open, Distance & E-Learning community in Europe.
8 November 2005 – granted membership of the Association of British Correspondence Colleges

17 October 2005 – granted the ISO 9001-2000 Quality Certificate
Following many months of preparation, of systems analysis and evaluations and eventually an exhaustive internal and external audit we were awarded the ISO 9001 Certificate as regards the systems used by the College.
10 October 2005 - successful workshop in London
Another fruitful workshop was held with the new and senior students of the Commonwealth Academy in London. The new On-site practical training programs were also discussed. New students were from New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa.
Jan 2004- Start of Lectures in London
Following appointment by the Commonwealth Academy in London as the sole provider of Wine and Nutrition courses, the 1st courses are offered via blended learning: students receive their lectures via the internet and attend 5 workshops during the course.
